Wow, my whole world, lately seems to be surrounded by music. If I'm not listening to it as I fall asleep, listening to it on my computer, or when I'm out running around then I'm organizing the never-ending number files I have downloaded, sorting the songs and artists from ones I want and don't want to  go onto my ipod. (If anyone has any tips or software let me know .lol.)  Now, to that list, I can add writing about the bands and artists of the music as well.
I have for this blog post, The artist Willie Herath.

  I never would have guessed he was an Illinois native, he screams Californian, with his surfer looks and his fun up beat songs; in  funny pictures and his spoof on survival shows in ‘Willie vs Wild', he shows  that he’s a laid back, fun guy. Someone you know you'd have a good time with and laugh till it hurts. That’s what his songs are, laid back and fun, the kind of songs you'll have a good time with. Best described by him as "Nod Your Head Beach Rock".

     As someone who largely judges music on lyrics, more than sound, his slower tracks “Something’s Broken,” “Back and Forth,” and “Come Home,” caught my attention the most.  I loved the lyrics to each of these songs for the reason that they bring up certain memories both good and bad but to be able to put them to music is what keeps me coming back to listen to them again and again, thats what really good songs, with good lyrics do.
They are all must haves for my collection now and I look forward to hearing more from him.
